Company Overview 

Cool Family Trading is an integrated wholesaler/retailer of high-quality agriculture inputs and cement to smallholder farmers and local retailers in Northern Ghana and Burkina Faso. Our purpose is to supply farmers and retailers with recommended agriculture inputs such as fertilizer, agrochemicals, and farming education, aiming to improve the livelihood of rural people. Our mission is to promote sustainable agriculture practices by optimizing the supply chain of agricultural inputs. This contributes to our long-term vision of ensuring sustainable agriculture production and creating economic opportunities for rural farmers and young people. 

About 80% of the households in Northern Ghana and Burkina Faso depend on it for their livelihoods. Agricultural modernization and the increase in dry-season farming have significantly surged the demand for fertilizers and agrochemicals to enhance productivity and sustainability. However, farmers’ and local retailers’ access to these essential inputs in remote, rural locations in Northern Ghana is often challenging. With high demand in peak seasons, the products are often lumpy with sudden shortages and skyrocketing prices. This situation puts farmers in a state of uncertainty.

Cool Family Trading addresses these leap gaps in the supply chain by sourcing high-quality agricultural inputs from the producers and supplying them to farmers and retailers within the regions. Over the past six years, Cool Family Trading established itself in the agricultural supply chain, providing thousands of farmers and retailers with high-quality agricultural inputs. We are addressing the issue through three operational models: (1) Bulk purchase: Leveraging our strong relationships to acquire quality products at competitive prices. (2) Distribution Network: Establishing a reliable supply chain to eliminate stock out, increase inventory, and expand our market—ensuring timely supply of products to retailers and farmers. (3) Customer Support: Providing education and support to farmers on the use of farm inputs to maximize yield while ensuring sustainability. This operational model and our strong relationship with our major producers/suppliers have seen Cool Family Trading growing and expanding to a wholesaler status in Northern Ghana, with the potential to expand across the West African region.
